If This Is A Man

Primo Levi

If This Is A Man, originally Se questo è un uomo in Italian, is a World War II memoire writen by the Jewish Italian Primo Levi, released in 1947. Primo Levi depicts in the most raw way how his time in Auschwitz went. It is a significant literary piece going into the harsh truths of the daily life at a concentration camp. As it is written in a third-person tone, it leaves us questioning once more how some humans are capable of immense cruelty, whilst others are capable of facing such atrocities.
